Curious Katie

I do love going through old pictures! I found these black and whites of Katie when she was 2. Going for a walk would be an adventure in itself!  At that age she had to stop and investigate everything and stop and visit with everyone along the way.  Curious when she was little and still is!!

I have buckets of flowers in my craft room that need to get used up, so I can of course, make room for new crafting goodies!  I thought this awesome weed stamp would be a great way to use some up. I stamped Rubbernecker's Weed SKU:497-15  3 times in Versafine Black Onyx on scrap card stock and clear embossed them. I cut them out and adhered them to the page and topped them with some white Prima flowers.  Don't these weeds make a fantastic embellishment for a black and white page.

I have a scrapbook page to share with you today.  I started by stamping a 12 x 12 sheet of card stock with Rubbernecker's Wild Flower Background Sku 447 using Versamark Dazzle and clear embossing it.  I sponged the edges with Memento Sweet Plum.
Doesn't it make a fabulous background for a SB page!

I cut a piece of CTMH patterned paper and distressed the edges and sponged it with the Sweet Plum as well. I found these old pixs of my daughter when she was younger and adhered them to the patterned paper.

I found these wonderful big doilies in the party section of the dollar store (I just love the dollar store). I sponged it up a bit with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

I added a strip of dollar store cream lace and adhered some Maya Road Flower ribbon to it using Scor-Tape.  Finished the ribbon off with some Kaiser Pearls.

I added some buttons, Prima flower, pins, cameo, locket charm, and a ZVA Flourish. My tiny title is scrap patterned paper with rub ons. I attached it to some crotche thread using library clips. To finish off this page I stamped Rubbernecker's Butterfly Inchies Sku 427 with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored it with Desert Sand and Rich Cocoa using Fantastix.  I added some pearls to these sweet butterflies. I really like the vintage feel of this page.

On to my card......

I do love to make masculine cards and this Mustang Fastback 567-09 is the perfect stamp for my Dad for Father's Day, who still loves old fast cars!  This was a quick and easy card to make.  I stamped the Mustang Fastback with Versafine Onyx Black onto Silver Mirror paper. and matted it onto black card stock. I added a black photo corner and three silver brads.  I embossed a panel of Diamond Plate with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and tied some black Hemp twine around it.  My sentiment is Mother's Day/Father's Day Set SKU:565-1314, it was stamped with Versamark and embossed with silver Embossing Powder.  I know my Dad will love this card! Now off you go to see all the Father's Day inspiration my Sister's have for you, don't forget to leave them some love along the way!

Music and Roses Thank you

Hello Friends!


Here is a card that I shared on the The Stampin' Sisterhood Blog.

I started by stamping this gorgeous  Rubbernecker Rose sku: 529-02 with Memento Tuxedo Black  on Classic Crest paper and colored it with Copics R24, R27 and R29.  I colored the leaves and stem with G43, G24 and G28 and just a bit of CO around the image.

Using a Versamark Pen and clear embossing powder, I embossed the rose, leaves and stems.

I stamped Rubbernecker's Rubbernecker's French Script SKU:448  with Memento Tuxedo Black right over top of the Rose.  The Rose will resist the ink where it has been embossed.

Using this SCS Out of the Box Technique, I left one leaf out of the Spellbinders Circle Die and I sponged some Adirondack Sandal ink around the edge while it was still in the die. I layered it on a Spellbinders Floral Doily Motif.


This beautiful Music paper is from DCWV Performance Stack and was faux stitched and sponge with Sandal ink as well. I layered on white card stock and a black card base. I added some lace and ribbon from my stash.


The sentiment is Rubbernecker's Thanks So Much SKU:565-18  punched out with a small oval and sponged ever so lightly with Sandal ink. I added some rhinestones and layered it on a large oval.
